Bulk or cartridge glue gun?
A bulk gun melts granulate, pillows or sticks in a tank you top up. A cartridge gun melts a 310 ml cartridge: to change glue, you change the cartridge, and with a preheater a hot spare goes in when one runs empty. It also runs PUR, which needs a cartridge. We'd usually suggest bulk for one standard hot melt, and a cartridge gun for frequent glue changes, quick refills or PUR.

Questions.
Can I use granulate in a cartridge gun?
Yes, in the refillable cartridge #3492, with non-reactive glue only.
Why does PUR need a cartridge gun?
PUR cures with moisture, so it has to stay sealed in its cartridge until it leaves the nozzle.
How long does a cartridge take to warm up?
About 20 minutes with a cold cartridge; less with a preheater.
