Why is my hot melt glue gun not heating?
Check the simple things first: power, the on/off switch, and on LCD models whether the temperature control is on (the display shows three dashes when it is off). On MS 80 and MS 200 guns, check the thermostat screw is not turned fully left. If the display blinks 2.5.9 or shows 999, see the codes below.
How long should heat-up take?
About 5 minutes for the MS 200, about 10 for the MS 80, 3 to 10 minutes for the air-driven guns, and about 20 minutes for a cartridge gun with a cold cartridge.

Is the displayed temperature exact?
No. The display is not calibrated, and the outside of the tank differs from the inside. If you need an exact figure, use a calibrated thermometer.
