Why is no glue coming out of my glue gun?
If the gun is fully heated but gives no glue or too little, the usual causes are dirt in the nozzle or a worn nozzle, low air pressure, low temperature, or on cartridge guns an unopened cartridge or a stuck piston. On MS guns, glue blocking the vent hole in the lid also cuts the flow.
Fix it
- Replace the nozzle. See the nozzle finder for the right one.
- Air-driven guns: check the air at the gun is 2 to 6 bar.
- Set the temperature to the adhesive’s datasheet.
- Cartridge guns: pierce the cartridge outlet, or replace the cartridge if the piston is stuck.
- MS guns: clean or change the lid.
- Never force the trigger.

Why is the trigger hard to pull?
On MS guns it has the same causes: a dirty or worn nozzle, or glue that is not hot enough. Never force the trigger.
