Why is my glue gun shooting glue sideways or in spirals?
Glue that shoots out at an angle, in spirals or uncontrollably is usually dirt in the nozzle. Replace the nozzle. If you cannot, flush it on an air-driven gun: fill it halfway, set the temperature 20 to 40 °C below your working temperature, and push the glue through in one go at 6 bar.
Fix it
- Replace the nozzle. See the nozzle finder.
- Can’t replace it now? On an air-driven gun, flush it: fill the gun halfway, set the temperature 20 to 40 °C below your working temperature, and push the glue through in one go at 6 bar.
Stop it happening again
- Never load dirty glue.
- Keep the lid closed.
