How to change or unblock a hot melt glue gun nozzle.
Unplug the gun first. Change the nozzle only when the gun is warm and the tank is empty: on air-driven Reka guns that means about 60 to 80 °C. Too cold and you can damage the gun; too hot and liquid glue runs out. Wear heat-resistant gloves and goggles, and never work without a nozzle fitted.
Unblocking
Replace a contaminated nozzle. On an air-driven gun you can also flush it, as described in glue shooting sideways or in spirals.
Finding the right replacement
Look up your gun in the nozzle finder. Each nozzle page shows its part number, the guns it fits, and whether you need an adapter.
Questions.
Can I clean a blocked nozzle instead of replacing it?
Replace a contaminated nozzle. On air-driven guns you can flush it: fill halfway, 20 to 40 °C below working temperature, one pass at 6 bar.
